Avon Parent Partnership Committee

Group enrollment on this website is limited to committee members.  Please do not click to join this group.   Each building has two parent members who will represent their schools at all APPC meetings.  Please contact a representative with questions or concerns to be brought to APPC meetings

Mission Statement:

The Avon Parent Partnership Committee gives voice to parents about academics.  The APPC advises administration on issues related to curriculum and instruction to ensure that Avon students' learning needs are continually met.

The Next Meeting will be Monday, May 3rd, 2010
The Avon Parent Partnership Committee (APPC), comprised of two parents from each school, facilitates communication on academic issues between parents and school administrators.  At the March 1st meeting, Dr. McMahon gave a presentation on Full Day Kindergarten and the Tuition Option.  Open Enrollment for non-district students was discussed by Dr. Clark as an additional source of revenue for the district.  Further discussion of cost containment and revenue in the Avon School District were given at the end of the meeting.  Details of all topics are given in the meeting minutes that are found below.
